Carpet Overlocking

One option to turn your unused carpets is called carpet overlocking.  Overlocking the edge of the carpet pieces produces a look that seems hand-sewn, although it is done by machine. It uses an overlock stitching (hence the term carpet overlocking), and it is done with a special sewing machine designed for the purpose.

When finished, an overlocked edge looks as though a thick fibre has been wrapped around the edge of the carpet continuously. It is often considered to provide a higher-end look than tape binding, and it is commonly seen on commercially manufactured area rugs.

Overlocking is available in a wide array of colours. We can match the yarn as closely as possible to the actual colour of the carpet.

Your new mats can be used to protect your new carpet or as a beautiful colour coordinated rug.
